If I were to do mine black, it'd probably be bed-liner, for a variety of reasons.

Well doh! Mine is already black. Both my Jeeps are black.

You can buy black spray on bug shield. I did that once on my grill to see what it would look like blacked out. I didn't like it on mine. The good thing is the spray on stuff stays on for weeks and then if you decide you don't like it you take soap and water and wipe it off. You can paint just about anything with it. It sticks good and it is flat black.

^^ Sounds like a good way to try it out and not be stuck with it if you don't like the look.

I have been toying with the idea of painting my wheel flares, rockers, and rear bumper with linex or something else rugged that will closely match the millenium grey ARB bumper (and hide some trail scars), but I don't know if I am going to like the look over the current all silver. I know I don't want to go right up the doors past the trim like others have, but the product you described might give me a chance to try a few things out and see how the look grows on me with out being committed.

Any chance you recall the product name?

I think it would look good if the fender flares and bumpers matched the grill. But, otherwise it looks out of place.
