I can point out about 100 or so scratches from trail runs.

And, judging by the comments of these other folks who seem to know you, I assume each of the 100 have been individually treated to minimize their visual impact. :D

I'm teasing you, but actually I respect that approach, especially since it obviously doesn't keep you off the trail.
Yeah I prefer big rocks to climb over like below.

they dont make them any more, so your pretty much SOL unless you can find someone selling their used ones which still work good, or custom make your own.

Skid row still makes theirs - and Al (actually Marlin now)can sell you a set

http://jeepinbyal.com/cat-Skid_Plates-23.aspx

it's All-J's superskid that stopped production (although you can occasionally find used and only the paint is scratched)

I like used and scratched stuff unless it's women and then sometimes i make an exception

I personally believe in the whole Parts have Soul thing..

Like with the hitch i got from INC, now my KJ contains part of the essence of INC's jeep's experiences, it can be both good and bad

Every vehicle I've owned I've brought over stuff from a previous vehicle even if it makes people look at me weird

If i can make it work my jeep will get the pull out cargo hider that was in my bronco II

my Z34 had a T/A steering wheel

Little stuff like that, I'm weird I know :P

I got to drive Troy's KJ today  and I can attest to the fact there are over 100 scratches .... but they are all on the skids!  His paint is immaculate. I'm jealous.

Nice to see a Jeep wheeled and not destroyed. I have people near me who think that its cool to destroy your Jeep on the trail.

Yep,nothing wrong with having good looking vehicle and using it also.Do I avoid stuff that scratch? Why sure I do but if it is bashing fender/door in or roll over a cliff I'll be bashing my door in without second thought.
