If you did bid on this one it would of went for more unless you could of did last second bid like on e-bay. Maybe then the other guy would of paid more.

Now that was the best example of the uncertainty principle I have ever read, have to remember that. Not living in scienceland since I retired last year but that would have worked well in lunch table discussions.

Rolled or flipped salvage vehicles make me leery... Think of the damage that could have been done to the engine/turbo from oil starvation. Practicing your own Due Diligence is a must in these cases.

Cheers,
Erik

Not much damage that I can think of. How long will the engine run once fuel pressure drops? About 10 seconds. And the turbo will not suffer at all with no load.

The CRD in the OP does not exactly appear to have been "lightly" rolled. i.e. While slowly navigating Off Road trails or such... Once the wheels lose contact with the road the engine will reach redline very quickly even under light throttle... It is possible for the accelerator pedal to become stuck or floored during a violent crash. Not likely that it would happen often though. Of course this is a consideration I would make if I was planning to purchase that vehicle.

Cheers,
Erik
