So I found the front bullbar that I want, well atleast the style anyway. I want to keep my front bumper intact and add a bull to it.

This Tal & Hadas setup has a bull with option to add a set of skid rails

http://www.autoseattle.com/tal_and_hadas.htm

ignoring the skid rails, you guys know of a bull that is similar in design and coverage? the westins or whatever with the skid looks like it covers about 4 inches above the liberty bumper which .. I don't like, I want the higher radiator broad impact coverage

alternatives?

I've been ooglin the googlin for about 2 hours and have come up with very little aside from arb

and westin which I don't think I like very much

For whats its worth those will do more damage than protecting you front end and radiator in an accident. Very thin metal which just folds up or rusts away

:? well ive written off the tal's , if the westin was bigger i'd go for that, i like my front bumper just fine i just want somethin infront of it :( totally understand what youre sayin though

I suppose now that I sit and think about the construction, if it was decent metal you wouldn't get those bends hehe

thats pretty cool but what im lookin for is grill coverage, I found a TJM at rustys, it's not the t16 classique aluminum i would imagine, its like 190

i see a t17 steel for 05+ models that's 450 ?

the main reason i wanted a bumper was for a winch.. i was going to do the detours backbone set up or wait for the rocklizard bumper to come out... then this ARB popped up used in the for sale section and it was too good of a deal to pass up. then thinking about it there are a ton of bonus features for the arb. winch cant be stolen, great place to mount/rest stuff, added weight gives the front tons of traction!, fit/finish is great, air bag compatible, dont need to relocate washer bottle and it comes with shields to guard it, gives 2 clevis recovery points, has crumple zones for real bad accidents, still strong enough to take whatever beating comes its way!

I was actually wanting to mount the winch behind the front bumper or modify a front reinforced center hitch for a removable one so i could take it front to rear or stow

ever since I got it I wanted to try to keep the front stock bumper and put a bull on it

Ugh, you guy's are crack dealers in disguise hehe, i love the TR front and rear and the RL rear, the arb fronts are plain nasty :?

I mean I guess i could just get whichever and drag the welder out and brace it like i would a tractor draw bar lol

I remember seeing some pretty wild Aussie-style bull bars somewhere.Sure someone knows which ones.

And for those looking for a little bit of protection for your winches.

Works great.

Depending on the amount you want to spend, you maybe able to find some local fabricators/custom rod builers/someone who makes roll bars in your area and see if they will make you exactly what you need. You may be able to get them to make you bull bars and incorporate a front receiver at the same time while saving your stock bumper.

Did you look at the Mopar one. I believe Jeepworld is discounting those now. Have one on mine and it took the impact of someone backing in to me at 20MPH. Bent in slightly, thats all.

I had the mopar one installed on mine prior to installing the ARB bumper. I'm suprised it was able to take any impact, held on with 4 little brackets, only two of whick actually mount to the jeep, the other two kind of float behind the grill.

I personaly wouldn't suggest purchasing the mopar bull bar.

I'm actually in process of building my own that looks similar to pics B&C, but they mount to tow hook position. I've been taking pics, but if my wife ever decides to stay home, maybe I can finish working on it, plus I gots to buy some tubing!
