My fault too! Someone was making an illegal "U" turn (left real fast). The first car made a hard stop, the second (white BMW) stopped about 1 foot from the first and I plowed into the BMW.

My estimate to fix: $2,204.43

REPLACE:

1. Right park and side lamp (side lamp is fine)

2. Front SC Roakstar Bumper

3. Winch Smittybilt XRC-8

4. Radiator Support

5. Front "C" member

6. Subl Car Cover Plastic

No one was injured! The bumper did bend. I didn't hit it straight so it bent. The shackle mounts didn't budge and it saved me from a totaled front end according to the body shop.

Terry

nah come on you lowball him like that...

$5 tops

seeing these pics just makes me want a full metal bumper though I mean look what you did to the bimmer and hardly no damage to the jeep. Yes some things bent but compared to what if could have been WOW.

Congratulations on no one being hurt. And then imagine all those other drivers involved in this... they'll be sitting there in the cars after they've been fixed thinking "wow, I wish I had a Jeep!"
That bimmer looks like it's been screwed. Do you know if it's totalled? Was the driver upset at you?

 Oh man! Terry, Glad no one was hurt!...

How fast were you going when you hit?

Did the airbags go off in the KJ?

I'm feel real bad about the bumper! Is it a total loss?

Nobody got upset, except at the driver that made that U turn and he didn't wait even 1 second and he was gone. The body shop wanted to know who made the bumper so I told him. I also told him about all the problems with that company. I was asked if anyone else made a steel bumper for it  ARB was my answer. So he looked up a price for an ARB for the bumper. That was most of the cost right there. I would still rather have another one like I got if there was any way of getting one fast. The only air bag to deploy was the Beamer. The first car was a 1998 Jimmy and the BMW was a 2003. The Beamer is the only one that didn't drive away.

The only damage to the winch was the control box housing and some scuffed up paint. They couldn't find just a control box on line so they are replacing the whole winch. My buddy at the body shop called dibbs on the winch! :D The plastic box is repairable, it's in the back of the Jeep. I told them it must be also the road. He gets a used winch that could look better and I get a new winch. Fine with me.

Terry

EDIT: The body shop was REALLY impressed with the bumper. Especially after I showed them the pics of the BMW.

How fast did you plow into him? just wondering since I plowed into a celica a few weeks ago doing about 20mph and pushed his L/R tail light about 1' in and only left some scuff marks on my ARB just right of the left fog lamp, those ARB's are very strong. He was drunk and pretty much took off so no worries from me.
