Going to put the d shackles in the front instead of tow hooks. Was wondering if any one has done something similar in the rear?

Would love to get the Komodo rear bumper, But I still have the stock suspension and it would never support the bumper.

just get the warn reciever shackle, and spend your dollars on a lift.

otherwise, you can earn some cool points and pioneer a shackle that mounts at the factory tow point

X2. The receiver shackle is really all you need.

Rear is all you need, and if you want you can add a hook like I did( upper left corner)

That's what I did, except mine is a Warn. I only put mine in just before I go off-road and leave the recovery strap on and throw it in the back and close the window. That way it is already hooked up and all I have to do is open the back window and take the recovery strap out. Works for me.

I have a relative that is a distributor for WD 40 I get a case here and there for free, after every offroad trip I powerwash the underside and totaly saturate with WD40 Except for the CV Boots, next day I wipe some of the parts down,, No buffer. Remember WD40 is a water repellent, not too much as a lubricant.

F that Fing locking hitch pin in that picture... I've had to drill out two of those because the key got stuck and broke off in both of them! I even Oiled it during the winter/salty months....
I'll NEVER buy a locking hitch pin again.

I got one from HF that has a little slide cover that covers the key hole when not in use. $10 :) Also got a tow hook that slides into the hitch receiver for $10.

Sorry to hear that man, but you know what they say lack of maintanance leads to issues. Keep stuff clean and well lubricated and no problems, well at least they will look better and last longer :D

If I'm the only one on here that has had to drill out that same hitch pin.... I'll be the first to say... I'm not capable of maintaining or operating a locking hitch pin!
The second one I had to drill out had no rust.... I even pb'd the key before Inserting it! and that is not Peanut Buttered!

Mine has a cover over the lock assy too. But it still looks rusty. I'll have to try the WD40 thing. Assuming I will get mine looking pretty again like yours.

Use furniture steel wool to polish it and then WD40 use it everywhere, like I said , not that I do too much mud anymore but when I use to the WD helped on the mud not stcking as much and easier to wash off.
