Save the sand. Touch it up if you must and be done with it. Enjoy!

(I still need to install my 44OR).

alright got that solved...
Now, can I save the $40-50 and instead of welding it on just use some pipe clamps? or would it be better to spend the dough?

just hacksaw a slot in the inlet and outlet pipes and use the clamps. Do it at home and save the bucks. Just tighten the clams well...I've never had one come loose.

I just put mine in. Cut off the 2 '' reduction in front and in rear of the muffler. Buy a piece of 18" 2 1/2" muffler pipe with a bell on one end, cut one inch off the piece of pipe, not the bell end. Put in place and clamp down tight. Worked great and is on really tight. Sounds great also. If you get the right piece of pipe, you dont have to cut any slots in the pipe.

These are the pics I took tonight. On each end of the muffler, there is a 2" restriction, cut that off as close to it as possible. You dont have to cut a slot in the inlet and the outlet of the muffler, they are just slightly lartger than the 2 1/2" pipe so it slides over the exhaust nice and tight. On the pic of the new pipe, to the right of the sticker you can see the slight flare in the pipe to slide over the existing exhaust. You only need a one 18" piece of exhaust, with the flare on one end, and three 2 1/2" muffler clamps.

Why do they show up in your reply and not in my post?

you need to make sure the "img" is in front of the link and the "/img" is at back for each photo.
