auto zone dude told me that i needed to purchase the 18" exhaust pipe with dual flanges (at both ends) so I did! I will be putting this sucker on saturday.

So does the dual flange work or do I need to go back and get the single?

You only need the 18" pipe with the single flange. Both inlet and out let on the super 44 are slightly bigger and 2 1/2" exhaust. You only need the single flared end.

so what i will need is the muffler, 18 inch piece with one flared end and some clamps?
i am not going to use the intermediete pipe i will just be cutting off the stock muffler and leaving it there
if there is anything else let me know as i am going to go and get it today :D

my super 44 is now just the silver color you see now, after 6 months of use. i believe the coating has no effect on the performance of the muffler.

That should be it, and a hack saw or a recepricating saw. Just cut off the two inch pipe at both ends of the muffler. Try not to take off too much of the 2 1/2" pipe. Pretty straight forward.

Ok on the super 44. Is it a center inlet and a off set out? Or a off set in and out? Is there a difference? The reason i ask is i had mine installed yesterday and told them i wanted.... Center in/ off set out. Just noticed it's offset in and so on. sensored word!!!! Is there any real difference? Sounds great! Some people just can't listen i guess. Was closing time for Richards performance muffler and of course there closed today :x Should i go and %$tch about this or let it go? Thanks in advance!!!

Right behind the muffler there is a hanger on the pipe. The muffler just hangs on the pipe and it dosent rattle at all. Ther 44 is conciderably smaller than the stock muffler and that one just hangs on the pipe also.

   No. Ive done a few searches and i just seems they used a center inlet and off set out. But mine is off set in and off set out. Guess it's just preference on how it lines up. Like i said though. Crappy install  . I'm calling the owner tomorrow just so he can see what kinda crap his guys are sending out of his shop. Frustrating cause he's a 4x4 enthusiast himself, Baja 1000 sponsor and driver. So when it comes to exhaust... He knows his stuff. That's all his business does. :x :x He'll make it right though.

Yes in is an 18" pipe flared on one end, am sure because I just installed mine. Keep in mind mine is a 06', dont know if there are any differences on the model years, but 05'-07' sould be the same.
