not so sure about that, I carry two BFH's and also a tire knocker from my old Pete, any of them will take care of one of those stupid flashing lights

it stands within reason to assume that things will not stay the same forever, thus why we have things like turn signals, fog lights, day time running lamps (still think theyre stupid..)

flashing led tail lights or really strange modular 3rd brake lights that function as strobing brake lights as well as 3rd turn signals is probably something that we will simply have to get used to over the next few years

Here's a couple questions.

If ThunderbirdJunkie hangs a red strobe light from his spare tire
Is that the same thing? Because it should be.

And if your goal is to get the attention of those behind you

Throw a kitten out of your sunroof. That will get some attention. Or maybe boobs. Boobs get attention.

do as you will , it won't be my jeep you'll be attacking

i feel the same way about day time running lamps, the vehicles with them that don't happen to turn the lights on for the driver seem to just make people forget to turn their lights on

the more cars do FOR people the less people remember to do, there's a reason beyond flashyness that people want or feel like they need those retarded flashing brake lights and it's because most of the motorists out there are too busy doing everything other than driving their vehicle

if they put electric shocks in the seats for whenever the driver took their eyes off the road im pretty convinced a good portion of the drivers out there would simply stand up to operate their vehicles

the boobs in my passenger seat are the exact reason why Thunderbird Junkie should hang a strobe from his spare tire and tie it in to his brake lights

otherwise JeepinJarhead may not see ThunderbirdJunkie 8)

it's a 3rd brake light, why the hell would it be on if they weren't braking? Duh..

anyway, i don't have one so i don't know why i'm defending it, on the other hand NHTSA has been running tests for some time with flashing brake lights with timers to switch them to steady on and so far the tests have been favorable

and out of the scenereos of flashing, the 3rd brake light flashing with steady on normal brake lights had slightly higher ratings

they did some rather stranger tests though, such as all brake lights flashing with the 3rd flashing out of sequence with the brake lights, and alternatively flashing either side and what not

instead of quoting anything, can just check this out, i'm really not trying to argue anything, i simply don't have a problem with it

the CHMSL that NHTSA is testing is nothing but a fancy 3rd brake light that does alot more than just flash

Sold for two reasons: Safety, and to piss tjkj off.

^-------Hmm, good point. It's okay though, I always plan to be the last vehicle.

Like ThunderbirdJunkie said, if you want attention, throw a kitten out of the sunroof

If you want to be a nuisance, just like all those little kids with their busted up Hondas, go ahead and adorn your Jeep with ridiculous flashing lights. Maybe you'll even be able to place at NOPI next year
