<< Just happy mine isn't on there... I wouldn't get my "free oil changes for life" anymore! lol Plus, the people aren't TOO bad. Although, our local VW dealer kicks so much @$#% it makes Mercedes dealers look pathetic! Why can't Jeep be this way? Or, why couldn't they have been that way? I would love to see a more unique experience, like Vdub does. Jeep's service/sales/showrooms/parts area could all be wonderfully re-modeled. (well, could have been). Imagine the possibilities!

What really sucks, is that my job might be geting a major upgrade, allowing me to trade up to the Rubi-4dr-softtop! But if there are no dealers, then what?

You drive to Manassas and go to Manassas Chrylser Jeep and they will take care of you. Also, get over to www.NovaJeepers.com and become a member, get a discount on parts and service at the dealership if you are a member. They are also Mod friendly and good Jeep people in general.

This is on a map - you can zoom in (and there's a list on the side)

There were tons of them from OHIO...
LIMA, and LANCASTER I noticed were going down.... Been to both of those...

Yeah! Gribble Motors is going down. A shame but a lot of people go to Columbus to buy instead of staying local. I grew up with Gribble Motors and have been there many a time for my Toyota parts. Once for my Jeep.

Luckily, the Jeep dealership near me isn't closing. They have new ownership and no longer Lithia, but they are willing to honor my lifetime oil changes that I got from the Lithia in Ft Collins.

You dealt with Gribble when they were out on 22 east of town then I bet, near the drive in! Hate to admit it but bought a mini van  from them in 84/85 maybe for the girlfriend at the time. They were great to deal with. Have bought from Marietta, Parkersburg, Zanesville, well everywhere in Southeast Ohio but Athens and they're the ones staying open!

looks like only 3 out of the 44 (HaHa) in my area are going out. They are the 3 worst to deal with. Service and sales.

Tom,

Yeah. Can you believe the drive-in is still around and surviving? I grew up in Lancaster so I know it well. Being close enough to Columbus, people go there because they can get a better deal because of the competition of all those other dealers up there. Lancaster dealers struggle to compete with Columbus dealers. Those dealers further in the SE parts of Ohio don't have to contend with Columbus.

The guy at the aprts department at Gribble has been there forever and is a nice and knowledgeable guy.

Even with Ohio U in Athens County, Athens is the poorest (a few years ago, could have changed by now) county in Ohio. People are not going to drive up to Columbus to get a new car.
