how/what is the best way to remove the letter/numbers(3.7L, trailrated, 4x4, etc.)?
are they just glued on or is there rivets in the backside?

i found the best and easiest way to do it was to mix up a bowl of mashed potato's (i used the instant kind but the real ones may work better).. cover the emblems you wish to remove with the mash'ed potato's. let them on there for.. 3 or 4 mins then rinse with a hose.. the emblems should rinse off with the mashed potato's.

use a hair dryer like Tom said to warm up the glue but i've always used dental floss behind it after it was warmed up
