I just an email from JeepinbyAL (good company, dealt with them before, nothing but praise for their service). They are now stocking Rockcrusher diff covers for the front D30 axle, as well as the rear Chrysler 8.25. Aside from the front diff being covered by the front skid plate, I thought I read on here some time ago that aftermarket diff covers cannot be fitted on our D30a diffs?

I think I recall that being said after someone asked if the ARB D30 cover could be fitted?

If you look at the front diff there is no way to fit one or need one due to the mounting bracket, pretty much covers 1/2 of it the way it is. I read that as well and thought ...why??

That's what I thought. I have a Ruffstuff cover and a gasket for the rear waiting to go on .

As standard, the rear uses RTV between the cover and the diff. A gasket is available from a number of places, and personally, I prefer that. No idea about the front!

there is a gasket you can use or you can just use the RTV, I personally like the RTV but it can get messy
