Ok yes we need the rain but if it starts to hold off by the weekend do you guys think that it would be safe to take the family out to Condamine river crossings a mate of mine went there 3 weeks ago after I told him to go cause 10 years ago I thought it was fun but he said that it was just a graded gravel/dirt road and the creek crossings were filled in to make a crossing that only has water coming upto the rims. Is this right and would all this rain have made it alot cooler to go for a drive through??

Things have changed since the major floods two January's ago. Those floods that hit Killarny took out most of the crossings - a lot of work has been done to fix them up, and now they are all simple easy and even after 18 days of rain, well below wheel level. The tracks between the crossings are worse now, major potholes, dug out in places, when dry they are rough - and when wet given the state of the road - no one should be driving on it.

It used to be my senic route to the shops but after the last trip its just too cut up between crossings. If you have a day to spend looking about then its still a great place to go but no longer IMHO one of the fun places to go.

Bring on the rain - I have 50,000 lites of tanks to fill down there and maybe a smallish flood would fix the fixes

You too? We are supposed to have 7 straight days of rain! :shock:

I agree, we had 70mm Yesterday and 115mm overnight at Home, and look set for even heavier rain today and tomorrow.. Cath and myself "were" going to Straddie for the weekend, but, have cancelled due to rain :cry:

Chris, after getting no response from CRDSTU either by email or phone I settled on the Old Man Emu kit, with the new diesel springs up front 500 pound jobbies which are actually 35 pounds higher than CRDSTU springs (if I am correct) EFS was offering a 485 pound spring but I settled on ARB doing the job. Funny thing was I did alrerady had an OME lift in it exact same rears and shocks so the only real difference was the fronts but I had them do the whole car in one new hit drives better now and sits level the arse came up another 5-10mm the front came up about 40mm cause the springs in the front were the you guessed it PETROL springs not rated for a diesels slight (BIG BONED) weight problem.

I did Duck Creek road to O'Rihleys last Saturday and the only problem was the standard mudflaps scrapping every now and then

Just name a time and place I should be good for a while now, except sometime in the near future when I choose a day to install my cargo barrier hmmmmmmmmmm 25mm hole saw required WTF!!!!
