I have head that in some jeeps you can turn the key on and off again a few times and it will tell you the error code on the cluster. Can I do this with my 05? If so what is the proper sequence? Thanks.

Make sure all doors/liftgate is closed. Turn your key from ACC to OFF, three times.

Thanks for the info man, I read somewhere else that it was from ACC to RUN (run being the one right before start). I'll try that.
Also do you know if this will work for both the brake and ABS light, or just the CEL? thanks man.

When you say from ACC to OFF you mean-

0-put the key in and turn to ACC
1- turn to OFF
2- turn to ACC
3- turn to OFF
4- end in ACC

?? thanks.

most 05-6s had a reflash out so you can't do the on/off key trick, so don't be shocked if it doesn't work. But that is the proper sequence.

0-Put your key in, OFF

2-OFF
3-ACC
4-OFF
5-ACC

The CEL will show up where your odometer is.

Otherwise get a OBDII scanner or visit your local autoparts store and they can scan the system for you.

In Case no one here knows about the Easy way too get codes. Hold the tripometer button down and turn the key to the run position(Do not start), and release the tripometer button. This will do a full Gauge cluster check and at the end give you your codes in the Odometer box.

Thanks man, i did that and at the end it said "5.7" is that the code?
I have been having the abs/brake light come on and then go back off after a while, do you know if this will work with the brake codes?

thanks again.

I'm looking for the list of codes, I am sure I saw it on the forum some where, but I have searched and no luck thus far.

My wife told me her air bag light has turned on and gone off on it's own a few times this week. I did the ACC/OFF 3 times and recieved no codes. I then did the hold the trip meter down OFF/RUN and the check completed and gave a 60 which I am assuming is an all good.

If anyone knows/finds the list of codes can ya help me out and post a link?
