Well today I finally got the lift installed in the KK. It is a 2" front and rear Daystar lift with BDS shocks. The tires are 255/70-16 BF Goodrich AT's on Eagle Alloy 16x8's with 4.75" backspacing. ZERO rub! Not even close to rubbing thanks to the pinch weld mod and my trimming.

Man this thing looks a million times better then stock. I was getting looks like crazy as I drove around this evening. I hope you enjoy!

Thank's everyone, I love this KK.

The ride is actually quite good. It is a bit stiffer but feels more stable on the corners. The front suspension felt soft before. It drives smooth and straight and no pulling. I made sure I got it in for a wheel alignment this afternoon.

The tires are 8PLY so I think they will last forever since the Jeep is so light. I made sure I put black out aswell so I don't get bugged by some of the KJ crew. LOL

Yah it is a huge differance from stock. I love it. This is the only lifted KK in my city and probably even Southern Alberta. It looks tuff as nails and deserves the Jeep name now. The wife had no idea what I was doing to it. I told her I was just changing the shocks. Well I gave her the shock when she seen it.

Mr.Nick is your Jeep's colour Red Rock aswell? Good thing I live up north. That way we aren't twin's. Our KK's will be brothers from different mothers.

Mine is Inferno Red. I had a 2001 Blazer Xtreme before the Liberty that was a very similar color to the Red Rock, I saw the two in the sales lot and preferred the Inferno Red because it was different from what I already had. I was really close to getting green though!

Very nice ride, both Nicks and yours. I would have probably left white letters out but it is matter of preference.

Ice - that KK looks GREAT.... I've got an '08 KK in Red Rock up in Calgary.

Have you/are you planning to take the Daystar lift off-road? I've been really tempted to get a JBA lift, but the Daystar is WAY cheaper.... reviews?

Today I removed the stealership decals and plate trim. It looks alot better now that its not a moving billboard in the back. LOL

I have an old S10 and a 79 Jimmy 4x4 for bush beating. I did the KK up for the wife because I hate stock. LOL She said she didn't want to get stuck anymore like in her old saturn. So I jacked up the KK and threw some meats on it so I don't have to push or pull her out anymore. The Daystar is great. It won't be hardcore offroaded, just trail up in the Kananaskis. My wife and I are both born and raised in the Crowsnest Pass. So ya I didn't want to spend the big bucks on a JBA or OME lift if we weren't going to make full use of those lifts. The Daystar is perfect for our needs.

Very impressive Ice... you taking orders for modding others? ;) That lift looks like it's a great height for the average KK owner.

I also noticed yours is a Northern Edition. Not many of those around here, so you're even more unique here!

Hey skin - you don't own a White and Chrome GM/Chev 2500 HD do you? You weren't in Calgary this afternoon were you?

I was driving along and saw the above truck in front - on it's rear window, was a white skull decal - with "Metal Mullisha" written across it... are you stalking us CAlgarians?
