Anyone try RRO's new Insane A-arms yet? I am probablly going to be ordering a set soon & am just trying to get info on the product. I understand that people have had trouble with RRO in the past. I am considering RRO over JBA because RRO arms have greasable fitting & polyurethane bushings & are considerably cheaper. Anyway Im just looking for any reviews of the product before making my purchase.

I'll add something here.
After sending multiple emails to RRO about "their" upper control arms
requesting availability and never having received one reply!
At first I thought it may have been a problem with my email or ISP.
So I sent a few more.
Nothing!
Maybe he doesn't like us Canadians!

Well, my time wasted is also equal to money.
I figured I would listen to everybody here and on JK Country and I bought a set of Al's A Arms.
After receiving them and inspecting the product I realized that they are indeed very high quality
products. And, the ball joints that are fitted to the Al's A Arms are nothing like the negative verbal
diarrhoea that RRO's website had to say and show in their photographic comparison. According to
Rock Road, the ball joint pictured on the left is what they use. On the right the "Competition"
The ones on the upper control arms I received are most definitely the version on the left!
They must of gotten the photographs mixed up or put the wrong ones on their arms after cloning Al's!

I re-emailed RRO and asked them about the ball joint issue but never expected a reply.
Not ten minutes later I received one. Wow, had they only been that efficient when I sent them my
general enquiry the first time.

Too boot, All J products shipped them directly from their business establishment instead of first sending
them to Marlin so he could ship them out to me so that I could save a few extra dollars in shipping costs
to Canada!
Now that is what I call customer service!
Excellent!
I'm glad I bought a Frankenlift from them as well.
Nice people, awesome service from both companies, and always reply to any and all questions I had and have!

Do yourself a favour and buy from these people, they appreciate your business and don't bad mouth others!

Cheers
Ry'

I understand That Al-J have great customer service. I also understand that JBA is a quality product. RRO has returned all my emails & inquiries about their A-arms. I just talked to them yesterday & was told there is a 1-2week wait/backorder I suppose. I figured I would go with the RRO version A-arms to test them myself & give input on the product as my part of the forum. If RRO product is what it is then it will be very useful to those that simply cant afford or want to spend the money on JBA. When I recieve my Insane A-arms I will take lots of pic & give my review on them.

Good Luck
I wouldn't buy grass seed from RRO, even though they seem to have plenty of fertilizer to spread around

Marlin (JBA) makes great arms and if there is a problem he takes care of it that day. Do you want to really wait two or three weeks for a replacement arm if something goes wrong? I wouldn't!

I like the fact that RRo arms have greasable fittings & polyurethane bushings as I mentioned. I understand that JBA has excellent customer service. But who is to say I will have to wait 2-3 weeks for a replacement if something does happen to go wrong. Not everyone from my understanding has had problems with RRO. Im not trying to turn this into a bash on this guy or that guy so lets just leave it at that. I was just merely asking if anyone had RRO's Insane A-arms for their input.

To my knowledge, No one on L.O.S.T. has a set of a arms. Now their was a guy with a white KK on here that became a tester for them, but he hasn't posted on here for over a month now.

The A arms are similar, from the pics it looks as though the RR A sections are lower at the point where they are welded to the bushing, this could lead to contact with the socket body when the arm is fully extended downwards.
My additional criteria in terms of replacements! The part/part number would I be looking for if I wanted to purchase a JBA or RR replacement balljoint from a local spares shop urgently?

I'd rather replace with stock since if the worst happened , there would be a chain of responsibility. Customer service is great and knowing I'll get a replacement does little for me if I get a brain injury and wipe out a school bus because my a arms failed on the hwy. There have been failures but luckily to date, all have been low speed.

In field R&D is no way to go when peeps can die.

Just go to JBA, proven tough, and excellent service.

You do know that the JBA UCA's also have a grease zerk, they use the exact same OEM bushings found on OEM UCA's so getting replacements is easy.

Poly bushing are hard to find most times and they will make alot of noise after a few months and tear pretty easy compared to the rubber bushings.

That is not very accurate!
I've had polyurethane bushings in one of my other cars with Zerk fittings fitted and after fifteen years they are as good as new!
Right down to the original Durometer rating Shore M Scales.
And finding replacement polyurethane bushings for any application is just as easy a popping pop corn!
The www is a wonderful thing!
Rubber is after all is natural and does break down much faster than it's polyurethane counter part. (OK, it does take years to break down, but polyurethane does out last it!) Then there is Molybdenum impregnated Teflon and it's many variants!
Self lubricating and virtually indestructible!

Sort of like the many epoxies that you can use to "glue" or "bond" for a better term, sheet metal to carbon fibre or other air-amids like Kevlar and have a mechanical/chemical fastening medium to hold things together stronger than welding. Like aircraft wings!
