Here's a rare KJ for sale

This guy on AJOR is selling a 2006 KJ CRD Extreme Sport (with the 6 speed manual). We had a lass at Coffs driving one of these, which Frog and I had a close look at up at Dorrigo Falls and apparently only something like 35 were brought into the country. The sellers wife's car. Could be a great purchase for someone. If I had the money I'd buy it.

Looks like my renegade but with painted trim?? I was curious so did a bit of digging...

There are certainly a few cool KJ variants out there.

Jeep® has moved to further boost the sales momentum of its popular mid-sized four-wheel-drive Cherokee model with the introduction of a limited edition Renegade Extreme Sport package.

"Jeep is known for delivering rugged, versatile vehicles with real four-wheel-drive power and on road refinement and the Renegade Extreme Sport package builds on this heritage," said Gerry Jenkins, managing director, Chrysler Jeep Australia.

“The limited edition package amplifies the model in the style stakes plus represents exceptional value. “Combined with the performance of the 2.8-litre diesel or the powerful 3.7-litre petrol engine, the limited edition is a very tempting package,” said Jenkins.

The Jeep Cherokee Renegade Extreme Sport features 16 inch “Mechanica” alloy wheels, black roof rails, painted body colour bumpers and grills, a rear cargo organiser, leather wrapped steering wheel with cruise control, spare wheel cover and unique exterior accents and trim.

With its additional features the Jeep Cherokee Renegade Extreme Sport adds $2,000 of extra value for no additional cost.

The limited edition is offered with either a 3.7-litre petrol (150 kW of power, 307 Nm of torque) or a 2.8-litre common rail diesel engine (120 kW of power, 400 Nm of torque). The Cherokee is also available with a 2.4-litre engine in the Sport package.

Yeah, you could try to tell him he's dreamin, but he's a Jeep guy, has another one (not a KJ) I think. He probably knows what its worth.

Unfortunately (or possibly fortunately!) I in no way resemble a bad cartoon cutout of Arnold Schwartzeneger, so it wouldn't have the same impact.

Thinking over! Went down to see it tonight and it's in great condition, but we decided that it was emotion rather than logic which made us think it would be fun to own two (almost) identical his and hers KJs. So the Inferno will continue to stand alone.

Honestly, If I was in the position I'd probably buy it, transfer what I can of mine into it, and then sell mine, but alas, the Money Fairy has not blessed me so far this Year, and I think it unlikely she will in the future :wink:

He's reduced the price by $3000 and removed the GME TX3440, the GME stereo radio/CD/MP3 player and the Satnav with OziExplorer, so the actual reduction is not that much.
