Oh yeah, changed my plugs

I noticed the manual suggests changing plugs at 30,000... really? I thought plugs now-days are good for 100,000? :?:

Yeah, I don't know about 100,000 on mine. I have a little over 14k on mine right now and most of the plugs were out by more than .010... Had a few that were .020 out or spec..

I know it sounds funny but I could fell what I would call a slight bump at idle

The KK's(and KJ's) come with copper core plugs that barely last 30,000miles.Heck even Platinum plugs really don't make it much past 60,000milkes before they are shot.

I had to drive to Cabela's in Hammond, IN yesterday (that where we took the car to get delivered to its new owners) I left the house with 1 bar over 1/4 tank (I guess that would be 5/16 of a tank maybe? Anyway about 140 miles round trip and the previous almost 3/4 of the tank was all city driving, this is actually the most highway driving it has seen so far.

I gased up at the corner of Irving park and Roselle (empty let me tell you, took close to 19 gallons) but anyway MPG was just over 19 and that was the average for the whole tank.

Keeping in mind this is a sport and I don't have an EVIC. and the roof was oepn the whole way there and back.

And I know most of you have no lcue where I am talking about but, like I said it was about 140 miles round trip and started it with just over 1/4 tank, I thought I would also mention that we have been getting only 16 MPG since we brought her home and it has been nothing but Chicago NW suburbs driving

Wingnuts, the KK's do pretty good on the highway if you keep your speed reasonable. I got 20.5 MPG overall last weekend on a trip to MI and back, speeds in the 65-75mph range. I lost about 2mpg with my AT tires, and gained about 1.5mpg back with the K&N intake.

See if you can find a used aftermarket intake system, I got mine from a member here (came off his friends Nitro) for $75, and it will have paid for itself by end of the summer. I bet if you make a highway trip and keep speeds under 70mph, and have an aftermarket intake... you could see 23-24mpg.

Nick

PS, I have the 6-speed which might skew the results somewhat.

I get 20 to 20 going to Colorado springs from Denver and back. 99% of the time my cruise is set at 79 in 6th gear. Their are a few hills that I drop it in to 5th and even 4th If I really want to pass some one but they do good on the highway....

Mr Nick, wheres the fun going less than 70... the ride is very nice at 112
