Apparently YOU haven't had a regulator fail. They do not suddenly fall

Actually they do... one of mine took its dive on a grocery store speed bump

ThunderbirdJunkie's never had, in any car, a window FALL. Even in the KJ, they have all crept down.

And to the falling and "startling" the driver. If you can't handle being startled while driving, stop driving now. Seriously. There are "startling" events all the time during even the most mundane commutes.

A car could be beside you and startle you. Should that cause an accident? Are you a horse in the 1920s that must share the road with these ridiculous horseless carriages, and afraid of being spooked?

Seriously.

No need to get excited... just saying that it does happen that way. All of mine but one have failed that way, someone tried to roll a window up and *thunk* the glass fell down into the door. One got caught at an angle and was stuck.

Now while I don't see that getting startled as a safety concern... a worst case scenario would probably be if it failed like that in a snowstorm while driving. If snow is suddenly blowing inside your vehicle it could make things interesting... enough so that I'm going to petition anybody for dramatic changes and demand a recall?... no

Chryslers fix is to replace the regulator and the glass.

I found a guy in Miami that has worked for Chrysler for 10 years and he claims to know how to fix them so they won't break without having to replace the glass.
I've ordered one and will take photos of it compared to the ones that break.

Oh and they do fall down unexpectedly when you are off roading and hit bumps. Or live in a country with roads so bad that everyday is an off road day.

I got mud in places that Jeep never thought of.
