So I think im going to go with the OME lift mentioned above, But I also just realized I have a 1991 cherokee back at my parents place that would be a perfect beater. And its 3000 pounds....The liberty can tow 3500?

I just have a picture in my mind of my liberty lifted up, towing my old burgandy jeep with wood panels. ha.

I Will be, I don't plan on replacing my tires until the snow flies, I think ThunderbirdJunkie mentioned he used cherokee wheels or something like that to run stock tires.

Only certain wheels will fit, must be 16 inch or if steel must be like Soft 8s, Tbird has some Grand Cherokee wheels
can not use regular Cherokee or Wrangler wheels ( gain unless 16inch )

The libby is actually rated at around 5000# tow capacity. Then you have to figure in weight of trailer which usually runs around 1500-1800 so u will be pushing it. Make sure to upgarde to tranny cooler, brake controller, and possibly mechanical fan if yours does not have tow package.
