So, I want to look at a coil spacer lift and new rear shocks. But with the new forum, I just can't search like I used to.

I have heard Daystar, but I am closely looking at Rusty's right now. Good reputation, particularily for the liberty, and good pice (160, or 220 with rear shocks).

Thanks in advance. :)

RRO Combo Kit w/ some Rancho Shocks.

OR if you can fork the extra dough get Rusty COIL kit. Not his puck, get the RRO COMBO over that. It works better.

Do not get the Rusty's puck lift, it's the same as the OTT that many have had to replace.
Try the RRO Combo or perhaps the Daystar with Rancho shocks.

I've been running some mighty tough trails with Daystar and Ranchos and they do serve me well.

I have the Daystar 2.5 and BDS Shocks. I originally ordered the Rancho Shocks, however, Michigan Off Road gave me the BDS instead. They stated that the Rancho's are excellent, however, their bushings are made of rubber and will dry and crack over time. The BDS bushings are made from neoprene I think it is and will not dry and crack like the Rancho Bushings. Sounds good to me. Plus, BDS has a good warranty and are local.

I have a 2.5" Rocky Road Outfitters lift. It is designed and made by Liberty guys. They put them on there own Liberty's, so you know they must be fairly good. The lift is also pretty cheap (around $200). You can install the lift yourself, if you have a lot of tools and you drop the front. They also sell Doetsch Tech shocks to put in the rear. The website is www.rocky-road.com

Is that the Combo lift, or the OTT, or one of the rockfathers?

Oh, yea it goes without saying that I am installing it all myself. I can handle it :) and I need to use the tools for something

2.5" is the OTT if memory serves. Haven't heard too good of things about it though.

It is the OTT. I installed it a couple months ago and have been offroading with it since. I have had absolutely no problems with it installed. The only problem came with installing. The directions tell you to use a coil compressor for the front struts to put them back in after the spacer is added. After three different compressors, I found that it was near impossible to find one that would fit into the Liberty's strut. After five days of trying to find one that would fit, I decided to drop the front A-arms, but do not completely remove them. Unscrew the front most bolt first. Then only loosen the back-most. The arm will drop enough to put the strut back in and re-assemble everything else. I should have done this from the start. As for the back, disconnect the shocks and let the rear drop as far as it will go (it will not hit the ground as long as the back is jacked high enough). Do not take the spring out. Wedge the spacer in by having someone else holding the spring up. Hope this helps!

Nope. Suspension too darn stiff if you leave factory struts in. I got the whole set of Ranchos. Terrific!!

I have a OTT lift and it has 10,000 miles on it and I'm currently in the process of replacing it. I just ordered the Frankenlift front end lift to replace mine. The reason im doing this is because my struts are getting ruined (been through 2 pair now)and the ride is harsh and loud. It will end up cosing you more in the end to have the OTT lift. I would just spend the money now and go with a better lift if I could do it over, but at the time I put this lift on(March 2003) there weren't any better choices.
