Changing the Rear Brake Light

Bit of a numpty question guys, but how does one gain access to the rear indicator assembly to change out a busted brake light?? :?:

you need a torx bit

unscrew, pull carefully and swap

BUT

you will have to order a new lamp from you local dealership as they are a funky globe ( not a Bayonet cap ) :evil:

Note step 6 - they don't seem to think that the "plastic grommets" are reusable. The replacement instructions start with "insert new plastic grommets".

Mikey - don't worry about the dealership. Take the busted one down to Repco and they should have the equivalent bulb in stock - Indro do I know I've bought from there before - about $3.00 from memory.

Old Landrovers never had taillights, least mine series 1 didn't, no brake lights either. I don't think it even had brakes. :lol:

Well you're right about not having brakes, I used to have to pump that thing like crazy to get it to stop!!
