My first name can be traced back through my Dads side of the family to in the early 1700s ( so far) I have also found it used a lot as a last name as well.
From what I can gather it loosely translates to "one who carries a knapsack" meaning all of my ancestors were always moving or ......L.O.S.T. ...... :shock: :lol: :lol:
