I believe Australia offers a significantly larger year round heat challenge for vehicles that the US environment. Most CRDs here leave the cover on. The Wrangler CRD does not have an engine cover and some of these are now experiencing paint bubbling and crazing problems on the bonnet (hood to you) directly over the engine area. The CRD engine is very good at managing its heat, certainly compared to an XJ for example. If I was to consider removing the engine cover I would want to put in the KJ hood louvers to try and protect the paint.

...and scare off the Canada Geese. They get out of my way and look at the gassers with the oh yah look.
I like wild life that cooperates.

Don't want to sound like a preacher (or NPR Fund Raiser), but my fuel cooler keeps mine running with no loss of power at higher temps.
I ran into a Duramax guy who had one on the front of his fuel tank, he swears by it too.

Yes I have removed or no I have not kept it?

The poll asks the question two ways in the same sentence with a yes or no answer.

I still see no Pat Buchanan option, and given the context of this poll it would only make sense that there would be one.

Pulled it for better airflow and sound. Then I noticed the mouse turds. So it's staying off to make a less hospitable nesting area.

1" diameter by 2 1/2" long green pellets, mice love them to death, then they dry out and shrivel up.

Isn't the TURD a Toyota model? Oh, wait TRD

Mine left the engine bay when the rear supports broke off....during an oil change.

Engine temp seems cooler. Makes more noise but you'll get used to that.

'Fixed' the poll for ya....

On another car board I'm on, Martha Stewart is the random option on every poll. You'd be surprised how often it works as an answer tho.

I voted Pat too, just b/c his brand of insanity needs some popularity too.
