I've had this dent for over 3 years, obviously I needed rock rails for the trail that day. The dent doesn't really bother me that much but now I want to put rails on soon and am wondering if I should get the dent fixed first or just let it go as a "rusty badge of courage".

The only estimate to fix it that I've gotten was for $750!! Money better spent on other things...

What do you all think? Sorry for the tiny photo, gotta figure that one out on CarDomain I guess...

Picture is WAAAAYYYY too small lol. If it is bad enough to get rusty, I would ge tit fixed, maybe not spend $750, find a cheaper shop, or a easier way to fix it, but rust IMO will kill your ride faster than anything else. If it is not that bad, not rusty, or whatever, badges of honor are great, until you go to sell and buy a new one. Cause most people, even when buying something to beat through the woods, would like to know the vehicle was taken care of. Though if you don't ever want to sell (like I feel about my Jeep right now) than just leave it :) Really it depends on how bad it is.

I'm starting a fight against rust right now and it is not fun. Have rust on a door that has to be fixed and rust on the roof.

Yea I found a few small dimples of rust under my 3rd tail light when I pulled it off to VHT it and I took care of that real quick.

popped dimples, sanded, primed, painted.

I'm taking the spot on the door to Maco probably cause I want it done right (not saying maco is the best but, better than my backyard). But for the roof, gonna sand and bedline.

Leave it. Chicks dig body damage. 8) As long as the paint isn't chipped, etc. it should be ok. other wise, do as susggested by others and at least repair the paint to avoid rust. No sense spending money on a small dent on a Jeep when the next thing you know you will have another one somewhere else soon after fixing it.

I'd fix it because I need my ride to look as sexy as possible.
