Patching existing holes?

small holes - make sure you get all the rust then use some epoxy like JB Weld.

By the time you buy bondo or jb-weld... You could get a bracket like mine for $3.. Lose the spring.. It kills swr's..

My bracket has lasted 3 yrs.. That's a dollar a year!... :wink:

ThunderbirdJunkie would just get a new bracket like the one you have, paint it, and use stainless hardware with countersunk screws on the body side.

...I'd try JBweld rather than go thru all the bondo work if you're not a body repair person.
