My 04 is not the worst Iv'e owned but things do go wrong. Radiator just started leaking to day, small leak on the bottom plastic. Not good timing Ouray is less than two weeks away. But so far it's still worth it.The most fun you can have on four wheels

Ditto. Mine are all good...thus far. As for the year you bought...maybe that is the issue. Swap it out for a 2002 ;)

I have ahd a few problems but nothing serious and I am over 100k now and bought it with 18 miles on it. Great jeep thus far. Although I think I blew out one of my speakers the other day

Knocking on particle board, my '04 has never had a regulator fail. Now, rear diff pinion bearing? That's another topic.

Or anything from Buick or Oldsmobile... or pontiac... or cadillac... I think that covers all of the 'worst cars' categories for me.

I also forgot about the hard start issue the bad ac compressor and the over heating issue.

If it runs more than 30mintues it wont start and stay running until you let it sit. NO ONE has been able to fidn the issue, ive tried high octane fuel, differant plugs, ect The a/c compressor locked up at 35,000 miles, I have 50 on it now. And if its hotter than 80 degree's outside it runs about 240degree's. Thats WITH the new towing pacakge clutch fan/electric fan combo.

I am fairly certain the amount of warrenty window regulators is what put Chrysler under. When this thing is paid off, I'll be selling it ( if anythign is left of any value), and I will NEVER purchase another chrysler product.

2007 Liberty with 50k on it? did you buy new because all your problems should be under warranty still if new.

I'm still on all my original window regulators. In 7.5 years the parts that have went bad with my KJ(not including maintenance items that wearout no matter what) would be less then $200,2 belt tensioners(under warranty) and 2 sets of LBJ's(under recall) and that's it,not bad for a 7.5 year old vehicle. There have been more but due to me beating the snot out of it I don't count the shattered CV as one of them.

I've owned many vehicles and though the KJ is not the best I've owned(close) it's far from the worst but I don't mind stuff breaking since I'm a mechanic and enjoy wrenching on my own junk. The little junk doesn't bother me and everything you've mentioned has been little stuff that most vehicles suffer from.Major items is engines,transmissions,t-case,or axles and if one of those goes it's just a excuse to upgrade 8) .

Well, that just means you'll have a reliable vehicle after you fix it because there will be nothing else to go wrong.

I'm @ 148,600 miles... 8)
The KJ has been payed off for over a year now so I consider all "problems" as a monthly payment...

Nothing MAJOR to report.... passenger half shaft went bad... and a relay to the radiator.... Rotors, brakes, and serp. belt, plugs, front drive shaft boot.. I still don't know what a window regulator is???!!! NOT JOKING!

Did the LBJ recall... and they were fine before I ripped the boot (I blame Tom  ) and went to Greasable...

I think the KJ has many more miles to go!! BEST VEHICLE EVER!!!!

I've had:

Boost hose
Alternator
Battery(I love optima's)
Thermostat
Loose motor mount nut

That quite a bit more than my XJ has needed.

I have not owned many vehicles in my lifetime (8 total), but this one has required the most repairs in a short amount of time then any other.

Wow, even the thought of TBJ procreating is terrifying beyond belief!

Seriously, it seems that '02 is overwhelmingly the best year for the Liberty. Glad mine is one too.

Not to turn this into a 'top this' post, but my first car was a 1960 Corvair. I loved it because it was my first car. Other than that, it had very little going for it. In fact, most of the time, it didn't go at all.
