Hey guys.

I've got the P0442 evap leak again. I've had the hoses replaced twice on the KJ already because of this. I'm sure it's cracked hoses by the evap canister just like the other two times. Has anyone replaced the junky hoses with something that holds up better? Maybe some steal braided lines?

Thanks

what have you used in the past for replacements? iirc I just grabbed some heater hose off my shelf to replace mine over a year ago and it is still ok. (knock wood)

Took it to the dealership both times. First time was under warranty. Last time wasn't. They keep putting the same junk hoses on it that go bad in 2 to 3 years. That's why I want to put something better on it this time.

Track down some of that blue silicone coolant hose and try that instead of the black rubber hose. I imagine you can buy it in a coil so that you can cut the length you need. The blue silicone should last a lot longer. That is of course, if you can find the proper hose i.d.
