What would you rather get when ordering parts, the lowest price possible or the best service with fair market price?

depends on the manufacturer of the part!

Quality parts at fair market price wins me over 100% of the time no matter where I get them.

I agree with jarhead, hood and daspes. Too many variables and sometimes I don't need ay service, just a part I know will work and it has to be inexpensive. It really depends on a lot of things.

Y'know I've always wondered what the Chinese feel about stuff made in China? We're always complaining of the quality of Chinese made crap

Then again maybe the Chinese made stuff they export to North America is "second rate" :?

I would rather pay a premium price for a quality product.

Exactly I just paid more for my new rotors, their suppose to be harder metal and a little thicker so I am hoping to avoid warping again. Rather than get the OEM ones

Depends on a few things for me:

- Is it safety related? If yes, that's an automatic for getting the "brand name" part.
- How much money will I save with the discount part?
- How difficult is it to replace the part if/when it breaks?
- Is anything else damaged if/when this part breaks?

When was the last time you were unhappy buying the best From the best?

I like to buy the best I can get from those that both support my hobby (this forums supporters for example) And deliver on their promises. Cost is secondary to quality and good customer support.

good customer service is priceless... no use paying for a part if you never get it *even if it's cheaper than somewhere else*. plus your better off buying the best you can once.. instead of a cheaper one twice.

Depends on:

-The part being fixed (alternator vs. trim molding clips)
-How quickly I need my Jeep back on the road and thus availability of the repair item (if it's a major repair item)
-Whether or not I know exactly what I'm doing (need advice or not)
-The actual cost difference

Nine times out of ten, you prefer the better quality part from the knowledgable parts counter person (very rare these days). Sometimes, the cheap Chinese stuff from the moron at Pep Boys does the trick and I'm not afraid to admit I use it.

From the people ThunderbirdJunkie purchases his parts, both are one in the same.

Very rare, and he is very fortunate
