I have thought about getting another XJ, but the problem wwe had with our 94 Country, I've always been gun shy. I like my big ole beat anyway! Wife would want a TJ anyway first so that would be priority, but alas, withthe new furnace/AC and needing roof replaced, no new toys for my house.

Chris good luck on job search. My company layed off 38 people a month ago, still trying to figure out how I made it through...guess it helps being a jack of all trades.

You should get another XJ, mine is a 1998 with 156 K on it, it runs great everything works, most of the later models came with chrysler 8.25 29 spline rear axels.

Real happy with mine!

Ours was a '94 had around 65k. Drove it about 3-4 months and motor started making knockin noise. Traded it on a Subaru. I'm personally a Chevy guy even though they make junk nowadays.

hey chris, what was all involved, and what was wrong with your passenger side cv and inner spline shaft? how hard was the work to get the cv out and inner shaft out? did you have prices for the stuff? like advance vs napa vs autozone.

because my inner cv joint on the passenger side is wobbly, and im thinking since its wobbly, that that inner spline and shaft is going to be worn like yours was when you took it all apart, but i have no clue until i take it apart. :evil:

i found this. ill probably order the cv from napa, and the inner shaft that the cv slides into, same as yours where it was worn, just in case so my jeep isnt dead in the water when i tear it apart
