surely not going to be able to fasten it to just the plastic like the fire ext. is. What does it weigh?
If you are not doing a nice sturdy shelf like All J's rack that you can build something off of, you are going to have to pull panels and see how to hook something up underneath the plastic that you can build from.

I have always hated that wasted space by those windows but usually end up stuffing things into that space when I fill the back of the jeep up for camping trips and such. Rolled up jackets, blankets, etc pack in there nicely.

Anyhow, looking forward to seeing some ingenuity on this one. Maybe something as simple as spanning the opening w/ some aluminum flat bar and wedging the case behind it? Might need to add some bends into it, etc. to make it work......

As small as it is, you could probably just slip it under the rear seat.

Yeah something pretty heavy duty, depending on the weight, unless you can fab up some sort of bracket to keep it in place. Is the move just for saving space in the back?

I presume you've seen the All-J rack that JJ mentioned? It's awesome. Pretty much doubles the useful cargo space for small stuff. If you need something really tall back there all the time, it wouldn't work. But the shelf comes out quickly if you just need extra height temporarily. Dunno how many they have left. I got one of the last four.

If i went with a shelf, I would build one myself... I don't really want a shelf though, b/c I throw my bike in there quite often and would not be able to then!

Well, if you have the skills to fab up your own shelf, then you shouldn't have any problem fabbing up some kind of bracket for that tiny toolbox. Good luck!

Build a interior rack, there is a great post in the tech section. As for your bike, get a bike rack that that mounts to your rear komodo bumper.

My 06 came with a package shelf. If folds down almost flat and when up it's about where the one pictured is. It has I think a 100 pound limit. Loosen two screws and it comes out. When down it does make the floor uneven.
