I noticed the other day that when my Fan switch on my AC/Heating controls work great on 1,3, and 4. Two however blows less then One does. Any possible fixes or should I find a switch from the junkyard.

Not sure that a new switch would solve any of your problems, its just a switch.

The resistor pack could fix it but usually it will just stop working at all on that selection if its bad.

Blower motor resistor pack, common failure and symptoms start exactly as you describe, one setting no longer works. After some more time additional settings will no longer work either.

Good news is that it is an easy fix, purchase the resistor pack via the stealership or online (little credit card size PCB), remove the failing one from under the glove box and replace with new.

I'm on my 3rd in my jeep, and my wifes is on it's 2nd.

yep, blower motor resistor. Not too expensive, located in the passenger side kick panel under the glove box. Easy to replace.

SweepnChoke, ifyou're on your 3rd, you may want to replace the blower motor. Where do you live?? Harsh on blower motors?? XJs have the same thing happen, and the resistor is in the same location!! On one of mine after I replaced the Blower Motor Resistor (BMR) and blew it again in short time, I replaced the actual motor, and haven't had a problem since. Sometimes the resistors just go, but sometimes if the bearings in the blower motor itself get too tight, the motor needs to pull more amps to turn, and it blows the BMR real easy. I actually replaced it with a blower motor from an even older XJ than mine...this was probably 4 years ago.

Or maybe you just have bad luck....or maybe you just live in an area with certain conditions that make that BMR want to blow out a lot....

*edit* Canada, eh? It didn't show your location when I was in the 'reply' mode....
