the Jeep Off Road Rally was a blast today! They had 53 teams.

Why is this important you ask?????

Out of 53 teams, 1996xj came in 2nd place, and I tied for 3rd, but actually received the 4th place prize.

Redkj04 was in attendance and he and his crew had an excellent time.

1996xj and I highly recommend the Scenic Road Rallies program, this is the second one Scott and I have gone on together, and it was a blast!!!!

beautiful scenery, deep stream crossings and a nice family style jeep event.

If interested, there are two more coming up, Return to the Devils Stair Case, and the Haunted Tunnel Run.

No they were there I can vouch for them on that... I was having too much fun wheeling and didn't work enough on the scavenger hunt to place :lol:

I am working on pictures but I don't have many as I was driving. The Scenic Road Rally people should be posting up some nice pictures of the stream crossings however.

was an awesome time!!!!!, there were only 2 KJ's out of 53 jeeps, and both were LOST members!

There were about 6 XJ's, but no others made it in the top ten finsihers :cry:

we need to work on lifting your KJ...maybe Mudd can help u out finding some parts!

Yeah eventually... I am fairly content rocking the stockness right now and just making it a little easier to do some wheeling like we did today. I am going to try to put the rest of the skids under it; when I can find and afford them. Work on getting me a roof basked and a decent permanent mounted CB radio. I also am wanting to do some roof lights but that I feel is just because I feel they look sweet and not so much to help with the wheeling as I don't get out all that much to go off road.

From what I read on their site, the haunted tunnel run is just a scenic rally, not a 4x4 one. I'm planning on going to the nov 28 run for devil's stair case, and I hope it snows a few inchest that night...

I will be on the nov 28th one, didn't realize the haunted tunnel was only a road rally..... oh well, hopefully a bunch of LOST members will go on the Nov 28th one

I'm gonna consider the haunted trail one just to try to make good Lost showing. I am almost definitely going to the return to devil's staircase one.

Well I mean its going to be like Prius's and VW beetles, Suburbans, and minivans. And no water crossing

If you're going to that one, there are a lot more of them like that, for everyone, all summer. There is:

July 19: all Chrysler road rally
July 26: Porsches 2 Oxford (so you can drive your 928...)
Aug 29: Swiss wine Festival Road Rally
Sept 19: Mini Cooper vs. BMW road rally....
etc etc...

But yeah, count me in for Nov 28. I wish they were doing something Jan 20th. Best chance for snow!
