Has anyone ever heard of the inside of a wheel cracking? I got a flat over the weekend and it turns out the flat portion of the inside of the wheel has a crack in it. The crack is extremely thin and maybe 1 - 1.5" long, I don't think I would have seen it if I didn't hear the air coming out. My only thought is that a rock got kicked up inside the wheel and either caused the crack on impact or more likely got trapped by the brake caliper or steering linkage and caused the crack. I guess it's also possible that a rock hit the bottom of the tire and forced it's way all the way up to the wheel but I would think if that happened I would have a pretty large hole in the tire as well.

Can it be fixed? Do you think it's covered under the warranty? If it's fixed will I forever have an issue balancing the wheel? Anyone got a spare wheel they want to sell me if this isn't covered?

You would have to prove it was a factory defect if it were under any king of warranty. I personally would not trust a welded wheel.
I did a search and found this site. Your wheel has a number on the back and a search using jeep, oem. alloy and that number should get results.

Looks like it will cost $170.04 plus shipping.

be cheaper just to grab another wheel, some can be repaired but its expensive
would not be covered under warranty but could try your insurance company

I would not try to repair it. Things like that I would get new or used good shape.

I have my 5 OEM sitting in my garage doing nothing but taking up space.
This is what I have with minor trail rash but no dents ot dings. just scratches but hard to see.
