Question: Do I need to compensate for the different angle on the rear axel? Or can the lift distanse materiel be symetric?
I meen if the spring will behave strange...

The front will have the lift distanse above the upper spring plate. That´s making the shock absorber to follow the lift.

In the rear I think I will move up the shock absorbers lower point.

Looking at the thickness of that spacer, I'm not sure how much those will help.

FYI, on our IFS system you get double the lift from the thickness of the spacer.

So on a 63mm thick spacer you will get 126mm of lift. (Approx. 5 inches of lift)

So what do jou mean? The front spacer would be 31,5 mm to lift the jeep 63 mm? If that´s so, I have to say THANK YOU!!!
I´ve never though of that...
Hmm. I think I will have to doo some calculating... Sad it was too long time ago sinse I went to scool...

I did some practical tests.

Image

Of corse you´re right... :D

A- Stock 485, lifted 2,5" = 517 mm. Spacer size 32 mm.

The dive shaft angles, simulated 2,5" lift. Maybe i simulated too much lift, but I wanted to know if something would be strange.

Your CRD won't like you very much for fitting this type of OTT lift....OEM springs are pretty crappy already and with that puck on top of them they will sag...faster.

You NEED to fit extended bumpstops now, since your front shock will bottom out if you don't.

I´ll do that. Somehow...

If the springs wear out faster, I can easyer talk my wife into bying OME 2" lift... (Don´t tell her)...

I did the rear on mine first too

I had to drive it around like that for a week before the front items came in the mail

Feels weird looking at the ground while driving doesn't it :)

Building your own is quite impressive. And I'm sure it's a lot of fun too. Whenever I do something to my Jeep, it's usually a hassle. And then later, you can complain about how much of a hassle it was, when really it was fun. .
