nice plates. I'd love to do the same, but here in CA that adds $35 per year to the cost of registration.

Our guvernator has balanced the budget with no new taxes... but he didn't mention that he was going to raise the price of vehicle registration.

I just got mine in the mail for my 08 KK, it was $313. My daughter's 09 Scion XB was about the same price, over $300

I may have to take out a loan to register vehicles this year.

I also put in a new set of plugs like someone else posted. However, unlike them, this was not the easiest set of plugs I've ever installed.

I installed a set of the controversial E3's. Wanted to see what all the controversy was about first hand. :)

I can't remember the last set of spark plugs I've changed. My wife says it's been at least 20 years. :?

Please tell us what problems you had, Rick.

It would be beneficial to those thinking about doing the same thing.

I found it pretty straight forward, but I had the experience of having done my KJ's a while back, so maybe that helped some.

Edit
: Never mind  I just saw your post over in the "Spark Plug" thread.

If you are looking at the front of the car, the plug toward the front left was difficult to get to. First, I had to take the air filter top off and fold it back. Then there was no way to get a socket down in there without bending that large pipe coming out of the A/C compressor. I didn't have to bend it too far, but I did have to bend it a little bit to get a socket down to the plug.

Other than that, it was fairly easy, except like Digger said, someone must have used an impact wrench or something to put those things in with at the factory. Someone posted that they were supposed to be torqued to 20 ft lbs.... that was a heck of a lot more than 20 ft lbs of torque.

Also, the little 10 mm nuts... I would broke them loose with a socket wrench, then tried to use my fingers to take them off. The all would come almost all the way off, then I'd have to use a socket wrench to get them up past the last few threads.

Other than that, it was fairly simply, no big deal.

The engine does seem to start a lot faster, and it does idle a LOT smoother. The other plugs were fairly clean, but the center electrode on a couple of them had started wearing at an angle, it wasn't smooth and flat anymore.
