Glad it worked out

Side note, for all Plugs....
If you indexd them they will work better.
But the E3 and a few other really need this.
See here http://www.advanceautoparts.com/english ... 1001sp.asp

All of E3 sponcered cars that run so well all have there spark plugs indexed. Talk with any Race motor builder and team. They will tell you this helps to keep thing in working order.

are you serious? Do you do that with your plugs? I have no idea where the plug is in relation to the center of the cylinder, and even if I did, I think it would be extremely hard to see the mark on the plug when it's down in it's little hole.

I really doubt they did that at the factory when they built the engine, using whatever big booty impact or air wrench or whatever it is they use to put those plugs in there so tight.

now that's a good idea, but which way does it need to go? North, South, East, or West?

or do we use the clock position? Six O'Clock? Nine O'Clock?

You are 100% right. most folks do not do this.

I just wanted to give a helping hand... As you can see from this post, i am not fan of these plugs.

But for thos who are, there are things you can do to make them work better or work as they tested them on the bench...

Sure it is allot of work.. but it part of the design. they just never tell people about this.

But very critical in some applications(custom) and the benefits can be very big.

ok, here's a short term E3 report.

The KK seems to be a lot more responsive, and I noticed it too, if I push on the acellerator pedal lightly, but not enough to cause it to downshift.

Yeah, yeah, maybe it would have been the same with any old plug, but I'm just sayin'

Also, and this seems to be a biggie to me... my wife drives the KK a LOT around town.

I need to give her a new name, like "lead foot Lilly" or something, she drives very aggressively. I know she flies up to a stop sign and slams on the brakes. She goes around corners way too fast. There's a long curve on the road to our house.. When we leave home, she's going so fast that she has to slam on the brakes to go around the corner, then cut over into the opposite late just to get around it. I am always telling her to ease up a bit. I firmly believe that she is the reason that my rears brakes wore out in 35k miles. She doesn't seem to know any way to take off from a dead stop, except pedal to the metal.

Anyway.. usually, if she has the car a lot, I'll notice that the we only get about 255 to 260 miles to a tank of gas before refilling. This time, with the E3's, we got 286! YES!

This was not a scientfic calculation of any type, again, I'm just sayin' :D :D

So far, the E3's are working well..

Glad to see that you are having a good go at it.

Hey maybe they fixed all the issues I heard about and was told about. This is possible.

Well keep us in the loop after 5k miles I wonder how thing will be. I hope they stay the same or get better..
