I sold my liberty to a young lady over the weekend. It wasn't easy to
let it go I tell ya but it was time. I've owned that Jeep since Oct of 2001
and it was finally time for something new......so my wife told me.

Just for reference, I sold it for $10,000 Canadian, it was in excellent
shape and I had all the goodies. I must have spent $10,000 in goodies over
the last four years.

My new Subaru Forester XTL arrived today in paprika red pearl . Ok, it's
not a Jeep but it is fuel efficient ,has lots of power and plenty of cargo
space to boot.

Anyway, time to shut down my accout and move on. Thanks to everyone
for your help and assistance over the years, I've had a wonderfull
expeerience being part of thie forum.

just because the Jeep went away doesn't mean you have to go too. I hear they are starting a LOST Subaru section soon! I keep trying to push my wife into a Forester but she keeps saying she only wants a Jeep! What's a guy to do? 8)

Heard nothing but good about Subaru. Would have gotten one myself but the wife doesn't like Subaru for no specific reason.

You do know that Subaru spelled backwards is "U R A Bus"

Seriously Robert please keep your account open and keep visiting the Jeep forums. You never know when we might need your experience :?

The 2.5L Boxer Engine used in the Forester is supposed to be one of the most reliable 4-cyl engines ever designed. Add the turbo to it in the XTL and it should quite a ride.

The EU market version comes with a new 2.0L Diesel Boxer Engine that would be really cool to have here in the U.S. if they could somehow work the emissions problems...

What makes you think you can leave just cause you bought a Subaru Forester? They do off road too you know.

Here's a 2009 Subaru Forester Media Test car playing at the Rocks And Valleys off-road park in Harrison, Michigan

Here's a couple Forester lift kits, although you have to order from Australia.

Autopro do all of their regular maintenance, major stuff is towed back
to St. John's on their nickel . I've never had too much "Major" issues with
any vehicle, well, with the exception of a Toyota Sienna van aka"lemon"
that I bought locally and got the worst sevice to boot.

No one person, several different ones under my direction. I did about 1/3 of the work myself
the snorkel being the first. My Snorkel was the first in North America, so after I did the trial
R&D and identified some problem areas they fixed and then imported into the US.

That Jeep is now in St. John's BTW. Isn't that where you are ?

That young lady you sold it to better bath that thing in mud atleast 3 times a month!

With what you have done to it, it dosen't deserve to me a road ranger, it needs some vacation from the pavement in some mud and such. :D
