i was ssking around locally for help with an install of some JBA UCAs, and got this response:

"You Should come by the shop and talk to us about this. We have First hand knowledge of the JeepinbyAl stuff and we are one of the biggest ARB dealers in ***** (old man emu). I think we can share some suggestions and first hand expertise that you may not know about on this particular subject. I will say without a doubt the JeepinbyAL stuff is the most sketchy company I have ever dealt with and I personally would not want it on anything I owned. We actually have the "new" control arms from him in our shop right now to replace his "old" arms that are failing."

I'm sure there could be a bad set now and then, but as I told this individual, I've heard very few negative comments about Als UCAs.

What shop is this in Va? I don't even know many lifted KJs in the area besides you and I. The old arms they may be speaking of are probably the old gen 1 or 2 before Marlin took over. Those are the only one's I've heard of failing.

If you need help installing the a-arms, I'd be willing to help. I did mine.

I really doubt that they have a lot of first hand knowledge about them. Most shops want to sell you what they want to sell you meaning they want to make lots of money from you on markup and installation.

Any problems Marlin has tried to take care of and help people out. Find someone local who is on here and have them help you out.

If they're failing,WE of all people would know about it.
Dealing with Marlin at JBA has been one of my best experiences when it comes to ordering parts .Nice guy.

It's allways best to do your own installs(or at least be part of the install),that way you'll at least have the
know-how of what went into your mod,how it installs and breaks down, and be rest assured the quality of
work is up to your par(everythings torqued correctyl, ect.).
Call upon your Va bruthren and have an install party. All you gotta do is ask.

Personally,I've found Marlin and his company excellent to deal with - and that's from England!

VA here too. I haven't done A arms yet but would help out if we timed it right. I need to learn how so I can do mine someday!

The guy maybe right about some arms failing, there was some issues with the early generations arms... do a search here on site, recent discussions. Since marlin took it over, they have been redesigned and he is trying to make it right. I agree with Tom, try to find some local LOST members in your area and get a meet/great together and slap the new ones on. At least you knew where to come to get the right advice and get LOST!!!!

Thanks for the responses. I did go by and talk to them. there only experience with Al's arms was installing them and one of Al's lifts. Without going into detail, they did have some issues with service, and they were shipped the wrong a-arms. But, as has been said, they probably could have worked things out with a few calls.

as for you guys offering to help with an install: I'm trying to get a Frankenlift, also. So I'd be doing it all at once. i may take you up on the offer later.
