Did you know you can flip your nuts for better clearance?

These nuts i mean. Just reverse the nuts to the top and bolt heads to the bottom. I did that with mine because the nut was hitting the spring.

a pickle fork would work, but it will tear up the boot. i usually take a few smacks at the knuckle face with a small sledge, right where the balljoint taper goes in, and it pop's right out.

just make sure you grab the knuckle to keep if from falling too fast so the brake line doesnt bend. put something under the knuckle, but leave enough room for the knuckle to drop down so the balljoint pops out.

I dont have a pickle fork, I dont care about messing up the a-arm or boot or any of that, they will be replaced with JBA 4.5

3 lb hammer and 3 wacks at the most, I keep the nut on so it only drops so far then you can remove it the rest of the way. But if it didn't come loose you either don't have a big enough hammer or have a swing like 03CDKJ

We always borrow from Advance Auto up here... do you have any auto parts places that have loaner tools?

haha yeah but I already took the Jeep apart

how tight does the new ball joint nut go on? just enough that the pin goes through the hole and the castle nut?

i would torque it until the nut lines up with the hole in the BJ shaft for the cotter pin. on the OEM arms, UBJ nut is 60lbs, i did the same with my spicer balljoint nuts on my 4.5 arms, and torqued them to 60
