You can make anything you want, I would use scrap aluminum cylinder heads for my raw material.

been there done that.

Have fun :D :D :D :D

And Good Luck, may you prosper and sell a lot of thermostat housing upgrades :) :) :) :) :) :)

What about buying a complete unit from a jeep dealership in England?

First requirement is that it will bolt on, if you are lucky, the part number will be the same. If it uses an "O" ring all bets are off.
Then some volunteer will need to shell out for the replacement to see if all the hose connections are in the same place.
There is a slim chance some one on the inside could let us know.
I have been burned to many times to assume something will bolt on.

I think that trying to modify the thermostat is wasted energy, in my honest opinion. The thing to take away is that while the thermostat begins to open at 80C (176F), it isn't fully open until 95C (203F) give or take a few degrees Celsius. This ensures that by the time the engine is really working hard, the coolant is already at the maximum flow rate through the radiator. If you raise the threshold for the beginning of opening, you also raise the temperature at which it is fully open.

For the viscous heater, it only kicks on if the ambient temperature is lower than 8/10C (45-50F) and even then it's only on until the engine reaches 60C. The reason for this is that if you were to warm up the engine while in cold weather (40F, thereabouts) and let it idle for an extended time without the viscous heater, the engine will actually cool itself all the way down to almost ambient because of the low heat rejection at idle. If someone were sleeping in the car during the winter time (heaven forbid), it could potentially freeze them. Myself personally, I would recommend to lower the ambient threshold to maybe 0-5C and leave the coolant threshold alone.

It would be better to not to be behind the wheel if you are that drunk.

....You are DUI/DWI. In NY and TX, put the key in the Ignition to listen to the radio, you are DUI/DWI. In AL a key in your possession and you get in the car with out a designated driver, you are DUI/DWI.

I think MrMopar is referring to someone who is stuck in a Jeep that is stuck in snow the driver can't get out of, rare but it can happen.
