I'm a little concerned that my boost is not what it used to be and i don't have all the gadgets i need to help.

Is there any turbo maintenance required as just recently she went into a limp mode but i was told by the dealer that the manual derivatives do not go into a limp mode. This so called "limp mode" carried on for about 15 mins so i turned off the ignition and restarted. She then had more power but not like she used to be so i cleaned the map sensor.

I haven't checked for any codes but my concern is that the turbo just doesn't seem to be spooling like it used to.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Check your turbo hoses. You may have a small hole or slit developing that is allowing pressure to be released. ALso check that your turbo hose clamps are not loose. Sometimes it is hard to find the leak as they hoses tend to open up when under pressure, if you can get someone to rev the vehicle in neutral (with handbrake on) while you listen for the leak (you only need to rev into boost range ala above 1800rpm). If you find a small leak (usually at the bottom of the hose (where oil may collect), you can probably duct tape it up as a temporary fix. I'd check those hoses first.

Without codes a diagnosis is much harder.
