The starter on my 2004 KJ is starting to go. How difficult is it to replace? I found a starter for $95 and would like to tackle the job myself. Any advice or links to "how to" would be appreciated. I've searched but cant find any usable info.

Can't say, for sure. IF it's anything like my old postal, it's 2 nuts and a bolt, I think, or something like that. (10 years since I last changed one). It shouldn't be too difficult to do. I just went into walmart, got an open-ended wrench set, and had it changed out in about 10 min. in the parking lot. Long story-short, I was 300 miles from home, and didn't have the money to take it to a mechanic.
(Ok. I admit it. I might be a redneck).
