Just curious, Jeep was in the shop today for an oil change and sqeeeky brakes. Found out I need to change a wheel bearing soon, he said it's at the "noisy stage" . Just curious if this is something that would be covered by the dealer under the power train warranty ?

just ask the dealer, they are legally obligated to tell you if it's covered or not. if it is covered under powertrain it will be a 100 dollar deductible

I think you should get a second opinion. I mean really, why change a part just because it's at the "noisy stage". If there's too much play or odd tire wear then by all means change it.

Recently I was told that one of my front wheel bearing units soon needed to be replaced but a second mechanic told me there wasn't anything wrong. I saved myself bigtime.
