So I was online looking at lifts because Im just not too satisfied with my 2.5 inch lift, and then I came across this...

http://jeepinbyal.com/prod-6_inch_lift_ ... 7-470.aspx

Now what I wanted to know is; is the price resonable? It just seems a bit costly. What do you think :?:

Reasonable - depends on your reasons for wanting the lift.

First - Al's kit works - it's the only 6" lift that works, cost competitiveness only works if there's competition, there isn't any.
however you're then faced with the fact that you kept the D30A front diff - which means 4.10 gears and a tendency to break.

if you're serious about wheeling and bigger than 32" tires - you need a SFA - which costs much more - but can deliver much more (if properly done - and since they're all custom that's not automatic)

if you just need more clearance. flexibility for the 32" tires that'll fit under a Frankenlift - then Al's a lot cheaper than a SFA.

So - decide what kind of wheeling you intent to do - and spend money getting that.

Personally I would say if your gonna drop that kind of money, your better off to save for an extra 6months and do a full SFA swap. Then you can fit 35 - 37" tires

if your ok with spending the doe to get that lift i'd do it. i've seen pictures of it on a fellow members jeep (joejeeper i think).. and it flexes like MAD in the front and rear. he RTI'd it and it seemed to do extremely well for IFS. Also.. i think the D30a would be ok with 33's if you had the clearance for them, 4.10's.. and a 6 speed. my 32 truxus are very heavy.. and i cant image that they dont make a 33 that weighs less than my 32. therefore it would be easier on my front diff than the heavier 33's. or you could pair a 33 with an alum. wheel instead of a 32 on a steel wheel and it would be lighter. i'm runnin 3.55's with 32's so 4.10's with 33's would be better than i have now gearing wise.

just my .02

Wouldn't bump steer be worse on a setup like this? I have a 3" lift on my KJ and the bump steer on it is fairly noticeable. Looking at the pictures, the steering link angles look to be more severe, causing more bump steer.

Not saying it isn't an option, JeepinbyAl's makes good stuff. But It wouldn't be an option for me at that price. A local shop will do a SFA for $6k.
