I'm a big fan of Toyo and Nitto, so I thought these new tires from Nitto deserved some space on this forum;

No………. I have the Toyo Open Country A/T‘s; however, I would consider running the Nitto’s the next time around. I also like the Toyo Open Country M/T’s, but I think the Nittos might have a tighter tread pattern which would make them more appealing for on-road manners. Nitto makes two different M/T’s, but I like the tread pattern for this particular tire. It’s advertised to be more for the trails and less for the mud.

Those look nice. I almost bought the Nittos AT's before i got the deal on my Toyos. maybe have to look into those MT's next time around.

The Nitto Trail Grappler M/T just came available. Due to the weakened economy, Nitto first started manufacturing the larger tire sizes that would be in demand and will eventually start manufacturing the smaller sizes. Both Toyo and Nitto (sister companies) have said that the weakened economy has slowed the process for expanding their size selections, especially for off-road tires. It will be just a matter of time before we see more tire sizes.

Sorry if I sound harsh but there is nothing sized close to what will fit a LIberty! Nitto never did make their A/T in a size that will fit Libertys. It is a waste of time to dream about this tire in a size that isn't even listed anywhere on their web site yet, but hey it's a free country. Have fun. Oh well, I must be missing something again! LOL! Everybody forms their own opinion about what to do with their money. you ultimately vote with your dollar. Yes, you missed the post above. :wink:

The tire JUST came out, they are only offering a few sizes until more come into production. As a matter of fact, it will be October before most of the dealers will have them in stock. Like I said, it's NEW! The TOYO M/T was the same way, they were still making new sizes a year after the M/T first came available. When I called the company, they said that some sizes were on hold due to the weakened economy.

There are a bunch of sizes listed on their web site that are not out yet as you say. I'm just saying that None of those will even fit even if every size they have listed was being made right now. I guess it will come down to what is available when you are ready to take the plunge and get rid of all that spare cash burning a hole in your pocket. I for one agree with diesel. They are new and hopefully they'll offer more sizes, but as it is I'm considering these for our surburban "Hunting Rig." And who know if they come out in 31-32" sizes......they look they'd be an awesome winter tread for deep snow.

I've never been a hankook fan, but I think the tire would be pretty good for an A/T. It would be a good compromise between on-road usage and off-road usage.
