Wow, I haven't heard someone mention buying snow tires in years.

Illinois doesn't allow studs or chains.

Oh and as for center caps, go back to summit and search / find Gorilla wheel products. For about 1/2 the price of Cragar caps, you can get black or chrome (and I believe stainless steel too, but don't hold me to that). The ends are plain with no logo.

Oddly enough, I plan to go with 8's style from Black Rock Wheels. Owned by Cragar yet the Black Rocks include center caps. And they're matte black to match the wheels. Matter of fact, the wheels Stign mentioned are also available from Black Rock with their cool black caps.

Blizzaks rock for the snow. I used them on my Focus here in Colorado for the winter. The traction was great and they lasted me a number of years before I had to get a new set.

I remember way back when getting snow tires meant throwing on a set of bias ply open lug mud tires on dad's truck. My father in law may still have a studded tire in his garage from his 76 Ford van.

 Yeah, I remember when Dad would take his & mom's cars down to have the snow tires installed (and removed come spring). Matter of fact, back when I was a kid, studs were legal in Illinois. Not sure when that changed - as in they've been outlawed for many years.

Right out of high school I worked in a tire shop ( changing tires) when the first snow hit I can remember working 12/14 hours a day to get everyones "snow tires" mounted, kept one person pretty busy just studding up tires. Long days Thank goodness I went into the management end real quick!
