I'm running the Magnaflow cat-back and the sound is great. With the K&N intake and exhaust, and when I run premium fuel, I get an extra 2 mpg on the highway and I believe I get better performance when towing my trailer as well.

a bunch of us are just running a magnaflow muffler
the one i linked to on the top of the post is a direct fit
i removed the factory muffler and but this one in the place of it with no extra pipe needed
I did have to weld it in place but that is not a big deal

I dont know if there is a really BIG advantage to buying the whole exhaust system over just the muffler

x2. i got just the magnaflow muffler. the cat back exhaust uses the same 2.5" piping that comes stock on the liberty so there really is no point in replacing it unless its broken. you would be paying more for what you already have. and the magnaflow sounds great in my opinion. i get compliments all the time about the sound.

Dynomax (owned by Walker Exhaust) is a really good system. If you buy the "kit", you'll get a intermediate pipe (the short pipe between the front Y-pipe & muffler, a stainless steel muffler, two clamps, and a stainless steel tail pipe. I almost went with that system but chose the Flowmaster Super 44 off-road muffler and custom (shorty) tail pipe. One last thing, if you want (or need) to replace the Y-pipe, you'll need the standard pipe from Walker Exhaust. Standard as in, the Y-pipe doesn't come stainless steel, or in the "kit"..

I have the Flowmaster Series 40 and it's awesome! I went with Dynomax on my first car and hated it. It's no different from a stock exhaust.

No - That link above is NOT the correct Flowmaster muffler (if you're looking for the Off-Road diamond plate version).
The correct p/n is = 942547OR

Sold @ Amazon

Cheaper here @ Jeg's and shows the correct image as well.

One last note, the muffler is always in stock at Jeg's unlike Summit.
