No thanks to the completely inadequate helpdesk of the website hosting company... there doesn't look to have been any data loss on the site. Thank goodness for simple, open source utilities.

Small corruption in a couple of the database tables indexes prevented the phpbb software from creating sessions each time you load a page (one of which is the most commonly accessed table in the system). A simple "repair table" on those two tables fixed the issue.

Summary: small error in database: simple command to clean up the error: no data loss in the process.

And thank you for stepping in and getting it fixed!! What took so long and why no word from the powers to be this time around as to what was going on?? Kind of rude and uncaring on their part.

I dunno... I'm thankful that certain folks were at least willing to assist in getting access so the problem COULD be fixed. I know that certain individuals WERE trying to help and were quite concerned about it, but just didn't have the tools to address the issue.
