The rear hockey puck/BB does not need extended bumpstop. The stock bumpstop is lokated inside the spring, and will touch the top end of the puck.

Watch the complete installation here.

If you are running a makeshift lift like that maybe but with real lift springs it sure doesn't look that way

Here's my rubber mallet solution, you only need that if you run longer rear shocks like the OME 132L or the Rancho 17004's....(like I do, Rancho that is)

Image

BTW, Jeeptorp, nice idea, but why not buy an OTT lift from Terraflex or some other brand. Seems like a whole lot of work.

And now you still have a crappy lift. Sorry. I know from experience spacer lifts suck big time...I had the Daystar 2".

Hey Tony whats the yellow part above the spring, homegrown isolator ?? whats it made out of ?

Rubber mallets work great as well, but what I like about hockey pucks are the fact they are 1 inch think so you can sort of fine tune for what you need depending on tire/ wheel combination

That's a genuine TJ (front or rear I dunno) isolator... :D Gives me an extra 3/8 on the rear.

I first jacked up the rear axle without the springs placed but with the shocks fitted, then measured up what I came short on bumpstop, added some for insurance and then cutted the mallet to size. Used two 6mm slotted bolts and lock nuts to secure them in place.

Cool I thought maybe thats what it was but couldn't see enough of it to be sure.

I keep playing on the height of mine, I ran two ( hockey pucks per side ) this past weekend and only partly loosened one rear flare so going to run them for a while that way until I go bigger

OK maybe didn't come out right
but with lifted springs you have a lot more room in there, with yours and the spacer it doesn't look like there would be very much flex at all

Sorry

now my question is how does it stay in? does it screw on? i know you have to drill it... but i am a lil confused as to what holds in placr, in the spring itself.

maybe i am just an idiot. lol

I stuck them together with liquid nails and then drilled a hole through the center. Then I used my angle drill and drilled a hole in the jeep and screwed it all together.
If you look close, you can see the screw in one of the pictures.

I did the exact same thing except I counter-sunk the hole a little wider, used carriage bolts with a washer on the top end, and a split washer and nut on the bottom.

Does what rust? The hole in the spring perch? Sure. That is why you hit it with some Rustoleum or Cold Zinc after you drill the hole, but before you put it all together (or if using a self-tapping screw into the perch itself, after it is all together...)
